Bishop Timothy Coalter serves as the presiding bishop of the Church of God of Prophecy. He is a leader of leaders, providing inspirational leadership to the COGOP general presbyters, national bishops, and members in 135 nations of the world. Prior to his selection as presiding bishop at the 2022 International Assembly, Coalter served the state/regional/national bishops and more than 1700 local churches throughout the US, Canada, and Bermuda as North America general presbyter. He served in that capacity from 2014 to 2022. Prior to that, Bishop Coalter served 28 years in pastoral ministry and six years as the state bishop of South Carolina. He and his wife Kelly married in 1979 and presently reside in Cleveland, Tennessee. They have been blessed with three children and eight grandchildren.
